Bitches I was honoured to judge bitches for SWYC and had a lovely entry. I was given true Yorkshire hospitality and special thanks go to my stewards, John and Fiona who helped to run things smoothly and efficiently. My CC winner and subsequently BIS, with my co-judges agreement, was Mike and Yvonne Howgate's, Ch Palmik Magical Whispers. Outstanding pale brindle parti that really doesn't need any introduction from me. She has it all and is difficult to fault, not that one would wish to. She exudes quality and Whippet type from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail and portrays perfect movement from every angle. RCC was Mike and Yvonne Howgate's, Ch Palmik Starlight Surprise. Most lovely fawn that I gave BP to and loved her then. Has more than fulfilled her early promise to become the lovely Champion she is. Typey girl with lovely head, neck and shoulders. Excellent forehand with good infill. Moved out really well. Her kennel mate just had the edge on elegance, but what lucky owners. BPB was Paterson's, Wheelspin Breakaway who came from Junior and only ten months old being an easy winner of this class. Lovely fawn baby with pretty head and expression. Long neck and good shoulder placement. Sound all through with good front, topline and quarters. Knows how to move. I shall watch her future with interest. Veteran Bitch (12,1) 1. Stock and Gilmours' Ch Sporting Fields Winged Dove over Dumbriton. This lovely Champion all white bitch of eight years plus looked an absolute picture. Presented in sparkling condition and oh so feminine. Sweetest of heads set on a long elegant neck, good lay of shoulder and correct topline. Sound front and quarters. Lovely movement from any angle. Close contender for the RCC 2. Holland's Elmanash Elvira. Quality fawn and white trim bitch also 8 plus years. Nice head, neck and shoulder with good clean front, nice topline and sound quarters. Lovely easy stride. 3. Crosse' Jayglo Just the One. Minor Puppy Bitch (10,1) 1. Boughton - White's Whiptails Happiness and Joy at Ipanema. Sweet red, gold and white trim puppy that has a lovely balanced outline. Perfect size, good forehand. Long neck leading into good shoulder placement. Superb angulation of quarters with nice low hocks. Sound on the move. Handler must beware and watch her ears. Hopefully just teething. 2. Keenan and Smith's Citycroft Supanova. Top quality pale brindle and white just 9 months old. Beautiful head and neck. Good front, bone and feet. Lovely flowing outline with sound quarters. True mover. Really lovely exhibit. 3. Nice depth and ribcage and clean tuckup. She has strong, shapely quarters with low hocks that she uses to advantage. Good breed type and clean winner of this class. 2. Short and Coulter's Collooney Racey Lacey. Very pretty pale cream with nice outline and lovely type. Not very co-operative with her handler, but I was able to assess all her good qualities.
